lil sis.

i love this girl.

on tuesday of last week i was sitting at work, fidgety. spur the moment, i emailed my boss and asked for friday afternoon off. i might have made up some stupid story about having to study for finals but she was cool with it. i started looking up flights to salt lake and it was a lot expensive. so i decided i'd leave in enough time to drive. i texted kristen and asked her if she wanted to come and i decided i wanted it to be a surprise. k couldn't make it so i started driving away from work at 12:30 friday afternoon alone. i got to Orem at 6:37. i waited in a long line for a ticket and sat down at the utah flash opener right before 7! i was so excited : )

actually, i was a lil nervous too because i hadn't told megan i was coming. i secretly wanted it all to be perfect. the flash girls did their opener and i got a little emotional! i have a beautiful and talented lil sis. she was awesome. i kept sending her texts throughout the game to try to warn her that i was there but she didn't figure it out until the game was over. i had tried to call her a couple times and she hadn't answered so i started getting really nervous. then out of no where i see her running up the bleachers towards me. i met her half way and it was the best hug i'd ever had.

"what are you doing here? were you really that bored that you drove to provo? why didn't you tell me? how long are you staying? ahhh i can't believe you are really here. please don't ever leave. i love you." it was kind of a perfect moment.

we had sooooo much fun! i love my sister. it was hard to leave her. we've always said this, but i think if me and megan weren't sisters, we would still be best friends. she really is awesome and i love even the things that i hate about her. she is my person...

seven hundred and ninety-seven miles later, i am home and in the middle of finals... trying to study and concentrate but wishing i had someone to take me to the NFR instead. be back soon.
